Returns & Refunds

Do you wish to return an order? In many cases, this is possible. However, please read our return policy carefully below so that you know exactly what to expect.

Because Budget Tegels works with fragile, heavy and sometimes specially ordered products, additional conditions apply to some articles.

Right of withdrawal for private customers

Are you a private customer and have you purchased a standard product online? In most cases, you have the legal right to revoke your order up to 14 days after receipt without giving a reason. After revocation, you then have another 14 days to actually return the product to us.

After a valid revocation, you will receive the purchase amount back. This also includes any standard shipping costs for the initial delivery, insofar as legally required. We may delay repayment until we have received the product, or until you have demonstrated that you have returned the product, whichever occurs first. The refund must, in principle, take place within 14 days of revocation.

The costs for returning to our warehouse are at your own expense, unless there is a delivery error, transit damage, or a defect for which Budget Tegels is responsible. Return costs may only be charged to the consumer if this has been clearly communicated in advance.

Return policy for business customers

For business customers, there is no statutory right of withdrawal as for consumers. Returns of business orders are therefore only possible after prior written approval from Budget Tegels.

For business returns, Budget Tegels may charge return costs, transport costs, depreciation, inspection costs, or other costs. Specially ordered, reserved, customized, or tailor-made products generally cannot be returned.

Non-returnable products

The following products cannot be returned, unless there is a demonstrable error on our part or if mandatory law dictates otherwise:

  • products that have been specially ordered or reserved for you
  • customized or adapted products
  • processed, laid, glued, grouted, mounted, or used products
  • opened, damaged, or incomplete packaging
  • remaining stock and sale items, insofar as clearly offered as such
  • samples
  • adhesive, grout, sealant, leveling compound, and other consumables or processing products
  • products that by their nature are susceptible to quality loss due to incorrect storage
  • products purchased in our physical store or showroom

For purchases in a physical store, there is no statutory right of withdrawal. This means that products purchased in the store or showroom do not have to be taken back, unless Budget Tegels voluntarily agrees to do so.

We do not accept returns of adhesive, grout, and other processing products because they are sensitive to storage conditions such as moisture, frost, temperature, and opening of the packaging. As a result, we can no longer guarantee the quality and workability after return.

Important condition for tiles, SPC & PVC

Always check products immediately upon receipt and always before processing, assembly, or use.

If you have received visible damage, breakage, shortages, or an incorrect product, report this as soon as possible and within 48 hours of receipt, preferably with clear photos. This allows us to assess the complaint more quickly and communicate with transport or the warehouse where necessary.

Please note: Processed or assembled products cannot be claimed for visible or pre-inspectable deviations. This applies, for example, to visible breakage, incorrect size, incorrect shade, incorrect batch, incorrect decor, or other immediately noticeable deviations.

Conditions for return acceptance

For a return to be processed, the following conditions must be met:

  • the return must be registered with us in advance and approved by us
  • the products must be complete, unused, unprocessed, and undamaged
  • the products must be in their original and undamaged packaging
  • boxes must be complete and not partly empty or mixed
  • the return shipment must be well and securely packaged
  • the return must be sent back within the applicable period

If a return does not meet these conditions, we may refuse the return shipment or apply a reduction in value to the extent permitted by law.

Register a return

Do you wish to register a return? Please first contact us via info@debudgettegels.nl and include at least:

  • your name
  • order number
  • which products you want to return
  • the reason for return, if you wish to share it
  • clear photos, if there is damage, breakage, or an incorrect delivery

After assessment, you will receive further return instructions from us. Do not simply return products without prior approval, as this may delay processing.

Packing your return

A return shipment must be properly packaged to prevent damage during transport. If a return arrives damaged due to insufficient or improper packaging, we may refuse the return or deduct the damage.

Return of loose boxes:

  • Use a sturdy outer box or suitable transport packaging.
  • Protect corners and edges well.
  • Fill empty spaces with shock-absorbing material.
  • Ensure that the boxes cannot shift.
  • Seal everything securely with strong tape.

Return of full pallets:

  • Place the boxes stably on a suitable pallet.
  • Preferably use the original pallet if it is still in good condition.
  • Wrap the pallet securely with film.
  • Ensure that the load is stable and cannot shift.
  • Use additional securing, such as straps, where necessary.

In case of insufficient packaging or transit damage during the return shipment, the risk generally lies with the sender of the return, unless mandatory law dictates otherwise.

Return costs

The costs for returning are at the customer's expense, unless there is a defective product, transit damage upon delivery, or an incorrect delivery by Budget Tegels.

We recommend sending a return shipment insured and with track & trace. This way, you can prove that the return has been sent and reduce the risk of damage or loss during transport.

Processing of returns

As soon as your return shipment has been received in our warehouse, we first check whether the return is complete, undamaged, and in its original condition. Because we work with fragile, heavy, and sometimes pallet-bound products, this inspection takes more time than for standard package returns.

We strive to assess and process returns as quickly as possible. In most cases, we will process a return within 1 to 3 working days of receipt. The complete administrative processing and any refund may take a little longer, depending on the nature of the return, the workload in the warehouse, and the condition of the received products.

For consumers, repayment after revocation must generally take place within 14 days, but we may wait until we have received the product back or until you demonstrate that you have returned it.

Refund

If your return is approved, we will refund the amount using the same payment method as the original payment, unless legally or practically something else is required. The refund will take place insofar as the return conditions have been met and insofar as the product has not suffered any depreciation for which you are responsible.

For a partial return, we will only refund the amount related to the returned and approved products.

Defect, transit damage or incorrect delivery

Have you received a defective product, is there transit damage, or have you received an incorrect product? Please contact us as soon as possible via info@debudgettegels.nl.

In that case, we ask you to:

  • send clear photos
  • state the order number
  • keep the packaging, if relevant
  • do not process or use the product before we have assessed the report

For justified complaints, we will look for an appropriate solution, such as replacement, supplement, repair, or refund, depending on the situation and to the extent legally required.
